I had to put this image in as "Sun".
There is no photoshop filters, no photoshop tricks, just a pure image that I took of the sun with a halo around it.
I was way out back at a pre-historic part of Australia called Lake Mungo, when the phenomenon occurred.
According to Aboriginal stories this halo is a signal that in 3 days it will rain. And rain it did!Click here to see more of this wonderful landscape.
If you wouldn't have mentioned I would have assumed that the sun PS effects. Amazing picture.
ReplyDeleteFantastic photo, Glenys! I've seen halos aroung the moon that mean the same thing, but never the sun. wow!

ReplyDeleteI love your 100 Themes blog. As a latecomer I am finding it hard to locate all the blogs and participants and I will probably never catch up with comments.
Your artwork is always a joy to see - always with a message, sometimes confronting, creative, clever and thoughtful. What more could we ask for?
Wow! Amazing photo!
ReplyDeleteI am jealous, I have always wanted to go to Lake Mungo (part of me is an anthropologist/archaeologist), the halo around the sun is also a sailor's prediction of rain (life's experience).
ReplyDeleteWonderful composition.
